New Blue has fixed the issue of the NLE not showing as a background view in Titler Pro when added to filler always and sometimes when Titler Pro is attached directly to a clip.

Titler Pro version 7.1 should be working now...

This still seems to be an issue, at least on my system.

I contacted newblue fx directly last week explaining the exact same issue and they didnt have a clue

about what I was referring to.

send NB a link to this and point out AVID is trying to work with them.

Happy to report this is cleared up in latest Beta version of Titler Pro 7.  The NLE background is showing whether attached to a clip or to filler.

Not sure when the Beta will be released.  But, there does seem to be progress.

Let's hope this is sorted soon as it is quite a pain...

....there is good news for AVID users in the upcoming release.  The NLE showing through was taken care of early by New Blue...it is the other NLEs that are more of a challenge...

....so, know for sure this is fixed.....we are all waiting for the beta to be released....

a tip for all TP7 users....make sure your timeline time and NLE time match to get the video bkgnd to work.....

it also works if the timeline time is shorter than the NLE time but a user would want to match those anyway....this made a big improvement in the consistency of the bkgnd showing up.....

happy to report the NLE showing fix is in the latest 7.1 version of Titler Pro
