Hello, anyone else have issues installing patches on the base install of 2022.12? Any patch I try to install hangs around 50% right after trying to close out cloud services. After 15-20 min or so it says that the installation has stopped responding. This is even on a fresh install of Windows 10 too.
Are you installing patches via the link app? ....if you can even install patches via the linkapp.
Hmmm...
Make sure all remnants of past MC installs good or bad are removed. Then log in to MyAvid or the Download center and select the 2022.12.x patch you want - I suggest 2022.12.4 as it is the latest. Direct it to your internal drive and put the installer.zip on the root level of your C:\ drive and unzip it from that location.
Just to be clear and not to assume, you are on Windows 10 64-bit 20H2, 21H1 or later (Professional and Enterprise) and not on Home right?
Also what version did you come from? If you are upgrading from version v2020.12.x or later, to 2022.12.x, you can choose to perform an overwrite during the install process. For versions prior to that, you must perform a manual uninstall first so if you came from 2020.4 for exmple or 2019.
the only other thing I can think of is.... You need to first install and launch the editing application as an Administrator. If you are in a Shared Storage environment, mount your workspaces as an Administrator. You may then log off and log back in as a Standard user, if necessary.

Hello Marianna,
Yes I am installing on a fresh install of Windows 21H2 Enterprise with no previous versions of AVID software. Running installer from root of C:\ as well. Installed 2022.12.0 and tried patches 12.1, 12.2, 12.3 and 12.4 and all fail. Have not tried launching MC yet. Will need to install Nexis client and mount workspaces.
