My import image settings are set to scale to full range.
I'm fairly sure that option does not exist. Upon import you can tell MC to treat the source file as already being legal (thereby maintaining the source's luminance levels) or to treat the source as being full range (thereby modifying the levels and taking the full luminance range of the source file and 'compressing' it into legal range). The latter can be useful for bringing in photos, and (some) graphics. Alternatively, you can maintain levels for these items and make them legal using color correction.
The waveforms in CC mode, like RGB Parade, will give you confirmation when it comes to your levels being legal or not.
My hardware toggle button is greyed out and shows as disabled.....
Knowing very little about all these color spaces, etc...here is what LOOKS correct after some testing....the monitor color spaces are all set to Rec 709 full range and the exports are done with Keep Legal levels...then, when playing back in VLC (no correction in the player), the results match very well. That is my bottom line.....what i see in avid is what i get in the exports. Does that make sense?

I'd also like to toss in Calibrated Software's Tin Man.
