So many big bugs in 2022.12.2

Tearing my hair out having stayed on 2018 for so long. 10 crashes this morning.

Is there any way to get Avid to look at these issues without creating  a full blown case for each one - I just have so much real work to do rather than debugging!

Constantly crashes badly when working in nests - remove an effect usually causes a crash.

Frameflex very buggy and hard to use on grouped clips and esp if UHD is involved (still cant save the effect in a bin)

Selecting a set of clips and double clicking an effect to add to all clips causes an error.

If you get ANY of these pls note so below and I'm sure Avid will take a look then.

    Cheers

Re: So many big bugs in 2022.12.2

I had a weird one today.

Went to consolidate a large number of clips to change the audio format from AIFF (OMF) to PCM. Checked the required box that pops up asking whether I wanted original clips linked to original media or the new ones.

I wanted the original clips linked to the new media and the newly created clips linked to the original media. Hence as described in the pop-up I expected the original clips to keep their names unchanged and the newly created clips to be given the suffix .old

What I got was everything given the suffix .old, original ones and new ones.

I managed to move the actual 'old' ones out of the bin and then had to remove the .old suffixes off all the clip names for the ones I wanted  - What's that all about!!

.....check to make sure this is not hardware related or a corrupt project, etc.  New user settings, yes?

I recently had a baffling series of events with AVID that turned out to be a bad piece of RAM, in its going bad phase, so it sometimes worked.

Installing 2023 now - thx.  Def seems to address some of the multicam wrong size pic display issue from the Read Me

I agree on the RAM - I reduced my RAM from 64Gb to 8Gb just to finish a project on my last system (staggeringly few issues!) and hence built a brand new i9 system in Jan with Win 11 and the 'new' Avid software. I'd had 6yrs out of the 4Ghz system so all good - and my new solid state M2 SSD based one - WOW! Literally saves me 30 mins daily :-)
