Will Media Composer 8.4.4 load the drivers for MOJO DX automatically when Mojo DX is installed in my PC?
Yes, the DX-drivers for the Mojo and Nitris are part of the Media Composer installer and are automaticly installed when using version 8.4.4.
Later on, somewhere around version 2018, you had to install them manually.
I think you need the right OS and without later updates as an MS update later caused issues with the DX-Drivers.

Finally installed the Mojo DX with Media Composer 8.4.4. When Avid starts it gets to iniatializing hardware and says Avid Media Composer OS_error, quit Media Composer. My OS build is Windows 10, 1439.577.
Does it also say: Reloading Plug-in: OpenIO_VirtIO.acf?
It does not say that. It freezes at the screen when starting with the error Avid Media Composer OS_Error. The only option is the prompt to quit Media Composer.
I finally got the Mojo DX installed. When I open my project I get this error. Current hardware is not compatible with project settings and is being switched to inactive. So it will not display Hdmi out to my TV. My project setting is 1080p 30.

I just asked, because I found another post over here were they suggested to delete that "OpenIO_VirtIO.acf" file and restart Media Composer.
According to the specs in the Mojo DX documentaion, 30fps is not supported.
Also note where it mentions Progressive Segmented Frame (PsF). I suspect most monitors don't accept this through HDMI although TV monitors which receive terrestial broadcasts should accept interlaced signals.
In the days when I used the Mojo DX, I was working with an SDI CRT monitor, which can display interlaced and PsF. I did once try the HDMI connector to a computer monitor, but it came back with an unsupported resolution message.
