Newsroom Management CTMS Asset Self Not Returning Expected Response

Using the ia:queue-stories-by-id link it is possible to obtain a list of stories together with their attributes.

There is an issue when using the "self" link to subsequently update the details of a story.

An example of a genuine "self" link is shown below. Note that it reflects the original request in that the embed query includes both nsml and aeset-attributes

    https://cloudux.wysdom.local/apis/avid.inews;version=0;realm=INEWS7/assets/ARCHIVE.2022.DEC.22..28681475.139899.0?embed=nsml%2Casset-attributes&section=fields

After executing the request the response does not include the attributes

Re: Newsroom Management CTMS Asset Self Not Returning Expected Response

    Hi Michael

if you want to get asset attributes via executing 'aa:asset-by-id' request you should use 'embed=attributes':

    https://cloudux.wysdom.local/apis/avid.inews;version=0;realm=INEWS7/assets/ARCHIVE.2022.DEC.22..28681475.139899.0?embed=nsml%2Cattributes&section=fields

because 'embed=asset-attributes' was designed to return asset attributes only in requests which are send to queues to separate queue attributes and asset attributes

you see this issue because all parameters in the request apply to all links in the response

but we will think how to improve this

    Hi Olena happy wheels,

Yes you are right, the DNS records must be created for the VM and after that you need to check the DNS settings in the CentOS (/etc/resolv.conf) the DNS server must be configured as well as search groups(domains). After chanches in resolv.conf do not forget to restart coredns POD in the system namespace to apply the changes.
