Hi
I have noiticed that when MC loses focus because a browser is opened or focus moves to another open program / app - that it now seems to take forever to reload when it regains focus - and it has also been known to crash when trying to reload.
I can understand when this is between other resource hungry apps (Adobe AE etc) but this also occurs when windows file explorer is opened to move files or when a browser is opened. Or sometimes when MC is minimised for a bit and then maximised.
This is on a 12th gen Intel I7 with 32 Gb ram laptop so it is not as though resources are an issue here
Anyone else experience this?
It is quite frustrating waiting while MC tries to regain itself after it has been ignored for a bit due to the need to do other things
Thanks
Neil

You may wish to double check whatever power management utilities the laptop may use. Some may be in system BIOS.

This is a common issue, but there are muliple things that can cause this.
No1, disconnect all external drives and network drives. Launch avid and see if the issue persists.
Disconnect all offline network drives (this normally is the solution)
play around with your Avid MediaCache setting. Try raising your RAM cache
Try a n avid reinstall
