    Welcome to Avid!

Isn't it under settings > format > raster dimension?

Be aware that projects created in MC First can't be opened in regular MC.

You are better to run the 30 day trial and then apply a license.

    Hi Pat,

Yes thank you, it is just the time to rememore me the way to work on AVID.

The problem is that i can't change the dimension

I import a clip 1080X1920 and the timeline keep on 720x486

    Then impossible to change it...

    Somemore the quality is awful...

    Any idea ?

    Ah...

There is an option to change the raster size in the full version. I think that might be a limitation of MC | First.

Best to do as pat says and install the 30-day trial if you can.

    hum... ok. Thank you ;)

It is like the shorcut "add edit" which doesn't exist any more on first ?

I think this version First would demotivate any beginner to continue on the full version, totally counterproductive.

I will come back to the full yes

    Thank you !

Are you looking for "add edit"?

That should still be a mappable tool in the tool pallet, even on MC first

Re: Avid FIRST / Raster Dimension

Don't you chose the raster dimension via the project format you create or on first maybe it's the sequence you create?

    The format is then locked.

    Hello Pat :)

Yes the format is locked, with "first" you can't chose the raster dimension.

I Had uninstalled the media composer "first" version in order to install the "trial" version. It is done. But everytime i want to open the trial version, it is the version "first" instead which is opening. Could you help me with this ? I have yet lost one week for the trial version with this problem.. Thanks you

Re: Avid FIRST / Raster Dimension

The application is the same for First and regular MC. Uninstling and reinstalling doesn't change anything.

It's just the licensing in Avid Link tgst controls what version you run.

The 30 day trial optiin is removed when you select MC First. Contact Chris on Chris.bove@avid.com who maybe able to help.
