Hi,
I'm working on a documentary right now and having a difficult time trying to figure out how to sync the audio&video.
For example, I've got 83 video clips and 64 audio recordings. Some shots are slo-mo so they don't need audio. The audio doesn't have timecode and there might also be some false-takes in it. Because it's a documentary so they couldn't take any notes while shooting.
I also tried selecting both video and audio and do ''waveform analysis' but it would take forever.
Is there a proper way to sync audio for a project like this?
Much easier for you to watch this video than try to understand what I mean via text

You could do waveform analysis, but I find doing it manually is more accurate and proper.

I can make some suggestions, but need to know a little bit more, first:
did you get a sucessful AutoSequence of all your Video clips? IE, did the video clips shoot with TOD, timecode, thereby leaving Filler gaps in your Autosequence?
Start there, and I'll get to sound...

Thank you. It does generate a sequence but there's no gap in between each clip... so it doesn't seem like it was shot with timecode.

OK, if you can, please look at the video clips in a Bin which can show a column with Starting TC. What is the TC number that ALL the clips are showing? Is it 00:00:00;00 or ?? ...or does each clip have different timecode that increments?
Also, important: Can you verify that there is some sound on the clips? And if there is "audio TC" on one of the channels?
Standing by...
I can also ask what you know about the shoot, in terms of camera. And, how are the clips named? Are they sequential-- give and example, please.
Also: which MC version are you running? PC or Mac?
