Just wanted to know how long you can keep an activation code if you didn't want to activate the software straight away. Is there an expiry date to these things? And does the license start from the purchase date or when you actually activate the software? Thanks!

My understanding is the purchase of the license makes it active. That version is yours to run when you want.
The activation code is valid until then. But if you wait too long the version of MC your activation code supports may it run on your OS etc.

Thanks Pat.
I know with my virus scanner, I can purchase a license ahead of time (e.g. if there is a good offer) but it only starts when i actually activate the license. If you buy a 12 month subscription, doesn't the software stop working once that subscription expires?

Have checked. Date of purchase starts the countdown, so no, this won't work.
