I'm sorry to say I have no solutions to provide but I can tell you that workspaces are hectic on our three monitors 2021.6 system (and has always been even with previous versions)... i assume you created and saved a new workspace of course..?
I work on one monitor, it was always OK, but now, for several versions, I have this problem.
I use 2 monitors and initially all the default workspaces (with a new user) displayed as expected across both screens.
But I created a new QC workspace and under host panels unticked display 2 and rearranged onto display 1 and its all worked as expected so far.

Cześć Zbigniew,
What's the last Media Composer version where you didn't see this issue?
Editing Movie Magic.

Cześć Filip,
I have no idea but I think my Workspace problems started about a year ago. There are two problems:1. No Workspaces keep the size of the windows.2. If I define my own Workspaces, eg separate for editing and separate for Color Correction then it's OK (except for minimal resizing windows) but the worst case is when I use the Color Correction Mode icon. In this case, everything is OK, but when I go back to my Workspaces to edit, the screen is a complete mess, all the windows change their position, the Symphony window is still visible on the monitor. It takes me 5 minutes to redefine my Workspaces for editing.
I have the same problem with you, (many qualified different machines) with 2021.6 and with 2021.9, I went back to 2021.5 and the workspaces works fine, new user profile, complete uninstall and install din not solve the problem!
Update
I think if I save my workspaces to Color, audio, edit, and switch between them from menu windows workspaces, works great, If I change throw shortcuts from the timeline workspaces meshed up !

Wondering if version 2018 works for you? I had some of these issues in the past and updating magically fixed this. Have you created a support case?
I can't tell which version the workspaces problem started with, maybe 1,5 years ago.He wasn't that severe at first. One window (Audio Mixer) slightly changed its size so I improved it and worked somehow.
Now (2021.9) the problem is as follows.I define my own two workspaces: for Editing and for Color Correction. I can switch between them and everything looks OK, although some windows change slightly in size but I accepted it.After clicking the Color Correction Mode or Workspaces COL icon, the Symphony windows appear correctly, but if I try to go back to my Workspaces for Editing it turns out to be completely changed, it is basically COL workspaces but all the windows change their position drastically. I need to spend 5 minutes redefining Workspaces for Editing and save it.I did not report it to the support.
I have installed Win11, MC works normally but the problem with workspaces persists.

Just so you know. Media Composer is not qualified under Windows 11 and so any further observations or bugs you report will be blamed on your version of Windows.
I can confirm that there are bugs in Workspaces and the way panels are recalled. Let's hope these are fixed soon.

Super news.
I know that Avid has not confirmed Win11 yet, but I am not pro-production and I can afford to experiment.
The problem with workspaces is in Win10 so it didn't make any difference for me and I installed Win11. So far I have not noticed any bothersome, recurring errors and the problems with workspaces are identical.
I will patiently wait for their removal.
Thank you for confirming the errors.

Why do some editors have this immediate urge to upgrade the moment there is an update? Slow down, Read the what's new doc, do some research :)
I would seriously consider downgrading back to Win 10, Avid won't support it for some time, i'm sure.
I don't understand, it seems to be my business. The problem was reported in Win10 and has just been confirmed. I wrote that in Win11 it appears in the same form. I did not encourage the switch to Win11, although I found that I did not notice any problems other than with workspaces. Am I doing something inappropriate? Will going back to Win10 fix my workspaces problem?Zbigniew

I'm sure that testing with Windows 11 will be fine for you if you don't mind experimenting (someone has to do it). My point is that if next week you discover some other issue with MC and report it here and someone asks you for your machine specs, when you tell them you are running Windows 11, the bug you report will be blamed on Windows 11 (unless others can confirm the same bug under Windows 10).
As I said, as long as you don't mind experimenting and aren't putting a critical job at risk (which is totally up to you) then go for it.
