Hello,I think a lot of guys know how to do that but I want to include our application as plugin for Media Composer using AVX.Are there some good articles how to start or some best practices which are not commercial?I would be really happy for some infos, recommendations etc.GreetingsJan
I also couldn't find the way to do it. The documentation inside the SDK mentions about a wizard (Avx2Wiz.awx) but there is no such wizard in the location specified location.
In the directory AVX2SDK\samples\AVX2SimplePlugin or some other samples you can find a lot of information. It's some work to study all of them and you won't be able to code the complete Plugin afterwards but maybe this is useful for you.For us the biggest problem is to get access to GPU with OpenGL plus the supported pixel and image formats.
First of all thanks for the answer such a long time after your first message :)
I already checked those samples, and they contain nice examples of how to develop a plugin. However my problem is about deployment, that I couldn't import those sample plugins into Avid MC. I tried putting the compiled ***.avx files under %AVID_INSTALL_DIR%\AVX2_Plug-ins directory however I couldn't see the plugins under Effects Palette in MC.
Ok, found out that I was compiling with 32 bit configuration, which was the default.
Apparently with my system being 64 bit, compiling samples with 64 bit configuration they became visible.
No problem. :)Did you just use a template and if yes which one? Or did you add any specific code?
Currently I only used the sample projects within the SDK. I'll make them my references while developing new effects.
