I have the GTX 1650. I don't get any problems, MC really likes my GPU... I see my gpu usage on about 50% when transcoding UME linked footage, and some acceleration when working in Avid Symphony.

Does MC show you an error message?

what version of MC are you using? If you're using the current version, and have an older NVidia driver, you will have to upgrade to the latest driver version available.

DIY quad core I7-4790K, 32Gb, NVidia RTX 2060 Super 8, Win 10 Pro, MC (generally the latest or the one just before) [view my complete system specs]

    Re: gpu unsupported

In the past Avid had a text file that contained a list of supported cards and drivers.

If your combination wasn't listed your GPU wouldn't be used. Many users added their own card details and driver. For many this worked fine but for some it would produce issues.

But a, while back they switched to a file of known issue cards/drivers. So if MC isn't using your GPU it must be on the non compatible list. As mentioned it could just be an outdated driver. If updating the card or driver isn't an option you could try modifying the file but you take the risk of issues.
