    Client not allowed to access protected resource

    I have a CTMS API licence installed on the MediaCentral server and a ClientID and Client Secret.

    The custom build app can login into MediaCentral and get back a user session with token.

    With the user session the app can get all resources from the full registry info except the pa resources.

    During get pa:extended MediaCentral CTMS is throwing an exception.

    Forbidden Request failed with status code 403

    Client not allowed to access protected resource

    Do I need to configure something on the MediaCentral server or Interplay Production server?

    Thanks,

    Adri Vermeulen

    Hi Adri,

    First I'd check that you have appropriate permissions to access the APIs in question.

    What is your clientid and which exact call you're making that returns forbidden status?

    Thanks,

    Vadym

    Hi Adri,

    Thanks for the clientid. Upon review it appears you don't have access to this API. Please reach out to your partners contact for further assistance.

    Re: Client not allowed to access protected resource

    Thanks Vadym, I did have contacted Dennis. For you information.

    I do follow what is in the documentation.

    1. Get the service root of the CTMS Registry
    1. Get the full registry information

    I get back this result

    ...

    "pa:extended": [

                {

                    "href": "https://1.2.3.4/apis/avid.pam.extended;version=1;realm=1234/extended",

                    "description": "additional PAM related operations"

                    ],

    ...

    1. Query specific link relations

    And then query the link relations (from the above response) https://1.2.3.4/apis/avid.pam.extended;version=1;realm=1234/extended which give a message ‘Client not allowed to access protected resource’.

    I think this is not a special operation.

    Otherwise, you can't do anything with PAM via the CTMS API.

    Thanks, Adri
