Is it a BUG? Adjust Pan/Vols On Track - Gain Adjustment

    Hey everyone,

i just installed Media Composer 2020.12 and i encountered an issue in the Audio Mixer.
Unfortunately "Adjust Pan/Vols On Track" is misbehaving,
"Gain Adjustment" doesn't change nether + nor - values on my system!
"Pan Adjustment" on the other hand seems to work as expected.

Does anyone else have the same issue, or is it just my system?

    Thanks in advance and greetings

To me it looks like it will only "adjust in/out" whenever some form of level has already been set. If you haven't touched clip gain at all, it will stay at nominal level, and won't append any adjustments. Quite certain it's a bug.

according to Avid its a bug, filed as MCCET-3975. their recommendation: downgrade to 2020.10 :-(

Where do i know that from? We asked Avid.

    also see https://community.avid.com/forums/t/201044.aspx

Other bugs in the audio mixer we found:

entering a value in the db-field of a fader does not show up while typing but works as expected when you hit enter

alt-click in the db-field does not reset the fader to 0 anymore, only alt-click on the fader does.

sometimes tracks NOT ganged work as if they were ganged with others

I have also noticed the volume sliders reacting rather slow.

Also, it would be nice if multiple audio channels could be (de)selected holding shift similair to how it works in the timeline window.
