How to Ripple Trim Previous / Next Edit to Playhead?

In Premiere Pro there is a function where you can press Q and W to ripple trim previous and next edit to playhead

Here is a demonstration: https://gyazo.com/99b4fc4f8e4df9fda2e2ae90afae4110 Is there a way to do this in AVID? I know you could do in and out points but in Premiere you can just do it with one button, hopefully in AVID too. Also the smart tools are way to slow, this method is very efficient when used in making selects, or just in general.

    Operating System: Windows 10

    Processor: Intel (R) Core(TM) i5-9400F CPU @ 2.90 GHz 2.90 GHz

    RAM: 16 GB

Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650

Press Numeric Keypad once after typing an extra large number like 3..  and see what happens in Single-Roller Trim mode.

3.. means "3, decimal point, decimal point" which = 3 mins forward or stopping at next clip, whichever comes first.

Type a minus sign then a number for reverse. On v2018.12.xx, the last number you entered will remain there, ready for the next time you press Enter.

In Edit mode, that Numeric value can be different, (add a + sign) but when you are back in Trim mode, you should remain at the 3 mins value. So that's two-for one. But you gotta press minus to go backwards, sorry.

There might be several ways to do what you want in Avid.

THANK-YOU for pointing this out, Steve.  I just mapped them to my free Trim Mode buttons, below Trim Right & Trim Left << , <,>, >>.

Seems it can be used to totally NUKE a clip if it is free-standing, surrounded by Filler... cool.
