I've been renewing happily for $240, I believe. I have had a dongle now for about 2 decades, and I have not paid extra to keep this feature.
This year, it seems if I decide to renew, it will be $400 to keep it. This seems like a policy change.
Has anyone else come across this?
I spend most of my time between New York and Los Angeles. In Nebraska.
Prices for perpetual support plans had not changed for a long time, then went up July 2019, from 299/yr to 399/yr, adding an incentive (discount) when cross-grading from perpetual to subscription.
It is not specifically a dongle thing, but since only perpetual licenses can live on dongles, it does affect those who want to keep using dongles.

Occasionally there are discounts, I tend to purchase via Videoguys, who have structurally offered the lowest price for MC.
Thank you Job - I missed that when it happend.
I appreciate this information.

P.S. I own three dongled licenses and also have a regular subscription. What I did not realize is that such a subscription (or any software license) can be activated on two machines. You can only launch one at a time, but I easily share this MC Standard subscription between my laptop (for on-the-road work) and an office machine (for occasional imports/exports) with zero activation issues. Just adding that info, as for some, that may weigh in on the decision to stay perpetual or crossgrade.
