It says in the timeline window that my project is 1080p/25. If I change it to 1080i/50 using the Format tab, what happens in terms of quality, rendering etc., or does the change only effect downstream hardware?I've got an Intensity Pro 4K connected with the S-Video outputs to my monitor and I can only get an output if change the raster to 25i PAL, 25p PAL or 1080i/50. My monitor is blank with the project set to 1080p/25.Thanks

It will only affect any rendered or created media. Its common to work in 25P as its makes DNx36 available for the offline work.
If a 50i deliverable is required then the format is changed at the online and the effects titles etc re-rendered.

Did You try to fiddle with the output settings in the BM tool instead of changing the frame rate?
peace luca
Thanks for the replies.
Yes, I did try the settings on the BM tool but they didn't seem to do anything. Even with the Matrox Mini (and that's in Windows 10), it will output a 1080p/25 timeline without having to switch to another frame rate.
You have to run the tool from MC, if You set it outside MC will take over and apply its own settings.
I did run it from within MC. I'll give it another try. I'm currently re-building my Windows 10 partition.
