I will start with the fact that I'm using a 32 ", 4K monitor, because it may matter.I would like to signal two annoying inconveniences.Every time I use Input -> Source Browser or Input Media a small window opens that I need to scale. Why Avid doesn't keep the size of this window after closing the AC.A similar thing is with the Mode window, which always opens in the upper left corner and not where it was used.

I, too, would love for the source browser to open at the size it was when I last used it. Having to resize it every time is annoying.

This is unnecessarily annoying and needs to be fixed.
I think it's a good request, especially if it worked better in prior versions.
I'm using a Single 27" on v2018, currently. What I do is make use of Workspaces, mapped to keys and icons. They tend to be variations on my main, all-purpose Source/Record Editing Workspace. I just made a "BS" Workspace after having opened up the Source Browser while in my "Source/Record Editing" workspace. I repositioned it wide and nearly full screen, but leaving just enough room to be able to drag a clip into the top of the Source Monitor behind it. Then I Used Windows>Workspaces>New Workspace, naming it "BS" (to distinguish it from "SB" which is what I see in icons that simply have the Source Browser tool mapped.) Then I use Save Current.
I'm only writing this all out for those that may need this recipe-- and I know many editors do not enjoy flipping workspaces. But given that Source Browser on a single Monitor is such a tight fit, this strategy works well for me. I can open my BS workspace with a button, use it fully wide or shrink and reposition it, close it or switch back to Source/Record Editing.
On my v2018.12 system, a re-sized and closed Import>Source Browser tool also does not return to its last-opened size and position. For me, it's not a big deal to update my "BS" workspace after re-positioning the SB tool. For that I have Save Current mapped to icons and keys and I use that procedure constantly.

Has this been resolved? it's incredibly annoying, also Bins can not be saved and re opened to desired size, my bins open way out of frame in a monitor, how does this go through testing without being noticed lol
Hello,
Wow, workspaces in 2022.12 are working normally. There is a significant improvement, but this is only the first impression after installing the new version.Zb.
