    JVC BR-HD50

    I would like connect my BR-HD50 to my HP xw8600 win 7 pro via fire wire 1394 I'm using Avid Symphony 6.01 with Nitris DX

    Not sure what your question is but yes you can connect via firewire, though deck control is better through serial. I have this deck and I capture via HDMI to DNxHD into an Ultrastudio plus serial. Works better than firewire which can be flaky.

    To use firrware on a PC you need to remember to change the firewire driver to generic legacy (or something like that)
