MC 2020.4 through .6 - "Domain resolution failed!" [SOLVED]

Ever since I installed 2020.4 on a clean install of Windows 10, I've been getting the "Domain resolution failed!" error:

Domain resolution failed!  Please send this data to Avid Engineering:
    (left SW_ViewerTee [out Hw_Domain_OGL], right SW_ViewerTee [in Hw_Domain_Host_Generic]
    [e:\ws2\workspace\MC\Release_Installer_Git\Win_Build\coresw\ame\src\player\match.c:6817]

(At first I thought it might be related to my user settings because the problem went away when using a different user but it eventually came back anyway...)

After some time troubleshooting, I've realised when the error always occurs: If I trim OR move a clip WITH THE MOUSE, with video monitoring enabled AND - this is the important part - full-screen playback enabled.

I have an nVidia Quadro P2000 (diver 431.02) running three identical Benq monitors @ 2560x1440 resolution.

Well, the bug still happens in 2020.6...

Just to make sure this gets fixed I created a case with the steps to reproduce it.

Re: MC 2020.4 - "Domain resolution failed!" [SOLVED]

I've spoken with Avid support and, although it's still not clear exactly what the problem was, it seems to have been resolved/fixed/worked-around.

Basically, the problem was with the PROJECTS having gotten corrupted in 2020.4 (??) and carrying the bug with them regardless of the update.

I was working mainly on a new project, created on a clean install of 2020.4 on a brand-new clean install of Windows. While troubleshooting, I had also had the same problem opeing much older projects that were still in the system. Those older projects were then also corrupted and started behaving the same way.

    Here's an example video: https://youtu.be/_BkMsCCCDT0

Creating a new project in 2020.6 and copying over the bins to it seems to have solved the problem.
