    Find Bin improvement

I normally use the “Find Bin” button to get into the bin of the scene which I’m editing, it’s a quick shortcut that avoids me always to scroll into the project. I think I’m not the only one to use this workaround, and it’s common for editors when you have many bins and folders in your project to open when you work on a scene (sfx, music, sync clips, etc).

In these new redisigned releases, 2019.6 and 2020.4, I was expecting that the “Find Bin” command would make it to appear into the bin container instead of opening it outside. In such a way, the idea of gathering all  bins into one container fails, and you eventually finish to have a monitor filled with bins at the end of a working day.

Can this be corrected, so that the "find bin" opens the Bin INTO the bin container and not outside?

    thx

    Alessio

There is a "feature request" sub-forum here, I suspect that Avid's engineers read it more than the Mac/PC forums. Might be an idea to post there too.

Maybe as a User Setting? There are those of us who still rather like having separate Bins around the place!

Also, what should happen if you have more than one Bin Container open? I've taken to using Bin Containers like 'live folders' for multiple bins from the same shoot/location/content type etc.

This should follow the behavior of the "Double clicking a closed Bin" setting under Bin Settings. It doesn't currently and should change because doing Find Bin on an un-opened bin is basically the same as opening the bin.
