I AMA Link some files/folders Quicktime MOV 576i from Sony DSR570 captured into Premiere, years ago. AMA Avid Link to the folder/files in  Media Composer into a new Bin. Not all the files have this crash.

In the bin column, I choose Highlight the Start column, choose dupicate and choose column to send the start column data to onto Aux TC 2. I then get a popup and media Composer Crashes. Crashes if I choose to copy the start to any column. Also if I manually try to type any value into the AUX TC 2 field, it does the crash error message below.

Any different result with Avid media rather than linked media?

Any different result when duplicating into a different TC column than Aux TC 2?

Final bonus qustion: Try moving one clip at a time into a bin and see if it always fails or only after certain clips are in the bin.

Hello, it seems that I can duplicate the the start field to antoehr column, when i try AUX TC 2 it crahses. The thing I noticed is that the crashing when I look at the coumn it's Quicktime MOV the files are in which seem to be the trouble clips. The ame in the bin says Avid Generic Plugin and that did not cause any crash.

Also if I take the bin/project onto a Mac without the Media, I open the bin with issues, it crashes when I try to duplicate start field to AUX TC 2. Also If I manually go to the AUX TC 2 field andf try to type in a value say 00:00:01:19 for example, the values then vanish as if I havent typed anything? Maybe the AUX TC track does not allow manually entry of timecode?

Also I made a new bin and took each file one by one with the MOV Quicktime plugin shown in the bin for the codec. And Single clip in the bin from the trouble bins, it also crashes when I try and copy the start column to AUX TC 2?

I'm not able to reproduce this in a 1080p 23.976 4 perf project.

I can copy Start to Aux 2 for both linked QT movs and MXF clips. I'm using the 2020.2 beta, but I'm not aware of this being a change or a bug fix in this version.

On testing it could possibly, be an issue with how Media has been linked via AVID AMA. The ones which seems to crash says it's using for video codec Quicktime not the generic Avid Quicktime. I will test some further to see what kind of compression are on these bins crashing. Also I opended a bin on my MAC at home, and saw the same crash, I don't have any of the Media or files, just opening the problem AMA bins.
