Here I am again with a multicam shoot, a 2 camera interview. I want to match the color correction on them prior to grouping and cutting as a multicam. I put them into a sequence and did my color and saved the effect... how t apply this to the source clips prior to grouping is my question.

Funny question coming from a symphony moderator
In symphony, you'd apply the correction in "master clip" mode.
in color corredction mode, there's a drop down list top left of cc interface.
In standard Media Composer you'd give each master clip a different color and multiselect and multi-apply to identical colors.
Yea I needed to do this instead of grouping and them trying to match the 2 cams. A freaking headache and what sucks more I don't have symphony just regular MC.
So would be the steps to take for MC in this situation?
Give each camera a seperate source color in bin.
set checkmark - hamburger menu timeline -> clip color -> Source
Edit video using your group.
Apply each CC preset to clips of same color. either manually, shouldn't be that bad, or,
find some wizardry to auto selct same color. might exist.
I figured out a solution! After you create a group, right click on the group and select "edit group". It then opens it up into a timeline where I apply the color correction effects I saved. Boom done. Now I can cut with the material color corrected prior to doing the multi-cam edit.
Brilliant! Can't wait to try it. Is this on a Symphony or MC?

So lets say I did the mulitcam edit first and then went to edit group and applied the CC effect. Is there a way to update the multicam edit to reflect the new CC effects that where applied?
This is not working for me. Have you tried it out? When I apply the Cc effect, hit update the effect is not updating in the group clip.
That's correct: I tried it, too, and the correction does not transfer to the group clip. I've always had to open an individual clip in the TL, do the CC, then mix down to a separate video file and that separates the video/audio. I'd like to be able to correct the clip up front, maintaining the connected audio. Must not be able to.
