I'm on the beta of Avid MC (v2020) and in a 4K project. When I go to File > Output > Export to file, there are no QT options any more. I can only do things like MXF, OMF, etc.
Anyone have a clue on this? I'm a 4K / 24 frame project using AMA linked footage that I've transcoded to DNxHR.
Is there any way to get my sequence out of Avid without Quicktime available? I've got a deadline looming and need to sort this out before I'm in trouble.
Thanks for any help!

Is there a specific deliverable you need for the client? I've been using MXF OP1a exports. From there I make whatever the client needs from media encoder (older version that still supports QT). Hope that helps
Just need a high resolution 4K quicktime. I don't have Media Encoder, only Apple Compressor. =|

Yes, read the documenation about the Beta.

Bummer man. Time to format my Mac and go back to an older OS.
Try finding a free FFMPEG GUI. It is able to read MXF and covert to MOV.
Shutter Encoder.
Job ter Burg: Shutter Encoder.
+1 The interface is a little quirky, but I liked it so much I donated. Forgot it was free!
I donated too, the minute I started using it, as it is so helpful.
ive been exporting op1a legacy and then making quicktimes in the free Davinci. works fine.
I just moved back to Mojave. Don't like introducing extra software into the process. I'm never going bleeding edge on Mac again! Lol.
I am almost sure that in new versions of 2020 Media Composer add option to output in Quicktime

Yes, as long as you're not on Catalina. And if you're on a non-Catalina Mac, you need to run the separate installer for Legacy Components.

Hey, Kyler
I solved the problem like this, I downloaded Quicktime here
After installation, i got the quicktime export option
If this method helps someone I will be very happy
