    What happened to export simple mov settings

    Cant do a simple export from timeline, no basic options.

    Read the documentation. It says that the Beta version will not have Quicktime based input and output support.

    I just did an MXF export and then opened it in Resolve or Media Encoder to get a QT.

    Thanks for the suggestions!

    Exported AAF and imported into Premiere and exported h264.  (Which leads me to so many more questions not really applicable to the Avid Media Composer forum).

    Yeah, I too had this unpleasant surprise when I tried to export my movie to a QuickTime .mov file and had the same issue.  I guess the old way of exporting .mov files no longer applies to v2020.  I was about to call Avid tech support, then I decided to Google this issue and found out it's was raised in this forum.  The feedback from this thread was very helpful in solving my issue, I did not need to contact tech support.

    With 2020 you can export MOV using Avid's new export option. So far it has DNX, ProRes and H.264.
