    Effect editor as persistent panel

Not sure what having an effect ‘mode’ brings to the party.

I find I often need to be tweaking effects (repos & subtitles mainly). Having the effect editor live as a persistent panel (blank when no clip selected) would avoid the need to toggle to effect mode.

You can dock the effects panel and save the workspace to have it there all the time but it uses real estate. Hence the effects workspace.

The big advantage to the effects workspace is that you can shuttle onlong the timeline and not drop out of effects mode whish is what happens normally.

    Hi!

When I have effect editor as part of my workspace, effect editing overrides all other activities like smart tools and regular editing.

Clicking the tc track closes effect editor.

So for me, what you describe is not possible. MC 2018.12.9
