    Mapping to number pad

Does anyone know if there is any reason why we can't map to the number pad or F14-19?

Could Avid do it if they wanted? Or is there something in the OS the makes it impossible?

I believe it's so we we can keep the functionality of never needing a keyboard shortcut to type in timecode, which I would not like to give up.

Giving the option of mapping to the number pad doesn't require you to give up anything, it would only give you a choice. You could always map to the shift key+number pad if you wanted to keep the number pad as is.

But still my question is: Is this something Avid chose not to do, or something the OS prevents them from doing?
