i've coded a home made avx plugin for blend modes - you can test it :)
it's pretty simple and contains only pure reference maths.
it's available for WIN and MAC and probably MC 6+. - currently tested on 2018 and 2019 MC versions.
here's the telegram channel with current news: https://t.me/MDVAvid/49
and download site at: http://djfio.com/blend/
Blend-X generic plugin :)
it's free.

Very cool! I just played around with this on 2019.7 and it works perfectly! Many thanks!

xBlend next beta2: is Available !
1) 32bit float point image processing (may be ACES compatible?)
2) precisely adjusted blend modes to match references (it looks like in ps,pr,bcc, davinci)
3) removed render artifacts for some modes (errors in maths)
4) osx 10.7+ support (don't know what for, but nice - maybe for MC6+?)
5) made some base code for much more modes.... (even if you don't need them)
6) added fancy modern "Bypass" checkbox
Fabulous work - thank you for posting and for being such an advocate.

I already have Sapphire at home but just wanted to say that the fact you did this for fun and as freeware is incredible, people have been asking for this capability for a decade at least!
I have a question, where do I copy the AVX file to?
Thanks again.
