Hello everyone.
Apple released this support article, regarding the changes in codec support, in which it lists the codecs that will no longer be compatible with macOS Catalina, due to the transition to 64 bit technology.
Amongst those are Avid codecs, including the DNxHD and DNxHR, which I use to transcode every media that goes through Media Composer.
Is Avid working on a solution to maintain compatibility with these codecs? Is there a new Avid codec in development, to comply with the new requirements? Will I have to transcode my media to the new codec, or will Avid provide backward compatibility?
Thank you
