    No Video Playback after updating to MC 2019

    Hi,

     

    I'd really like some help as I have just updated to MC 2019 but I now have a fatal issue which means I can't work.

     

    I can hit play and can hear audio playing back, but I can't get any video to play in either the source or record monitors - they're just black. Weirdly, if I re-arrange the windows or open another window layout a still image based on where the playhead is might appear - but then if I hit play, still no playback.

     

    I have tried using my customised user profile, and also a brand new one I created for test purposes. It made no difference.

     

    This is a little stressful. Can anyone help?

    Did you create a new user setting or migrate one?

    If you didn't at least create a quick default one and see if video playback returns.

    Hi Kevin,

     

    Thanks for your reply - as of about 10 minutes ago I have managed to get things working. I realised I wasn't running the latest OS X (I thought I was) - once that was updated I got playback working.

     

    I have found some weirdness with opening timelines in a project created in an older version of MC however, the video tracks seemed all messed up - I managed to open an older bin from Avid Attic to recover it though. A little strange but now things generally seem to be working.
