    UME folder

Good day! After installing MC 2019.6 found folder with name "UME " next to the folder "MXF" in Avid MediaFiles folder. Does anybody knows what for this folder?

    Re: UME folder

Ok. Here's what I found out - this folder is analog of MXF folder, but for MXF OP1A files. Just put such MXF OP1A files in this folder and these files will appear in Media Tool. Very convenient in my opinion.

    Re: UME folder

    Interesting!

Does this folder have the '1' folder as before?

...and are there the two database files (.mdb and .pmr) as well?

    Re: UME folder

    Hi,

I used to work with the program "MC Database Viewer" to consolidate the MXF folders. So can easily make a backup for projects. The program is old but it does a good job. I would like to have a similar program for UME folders.

    Best regards

    Re: UME folder

I wonder how MDV deals with UME folders either. I wish the PC version of this great software was updated...
