    Hi,

    Ulrich Thomsen:
more importantly is there a fix

Check your timeline settings. You can turn this behavior on and off there.

Shouldn't [CMD]+drag always work? Regardless of the timeline setting?

When you say "drag" do you mean you're dragging a segment in yellow or red arrow mode?

Or do you mean "I press CMD and then I click near an edit point and the playhead jumps to the edit point"?

When I first read your post I thought you meant the first one, which you can change in timeline settings.

Reading it again, and based on you and Cutyes answers, maybe you mean the second one. If so, and if it's not working, try a new user setting.

Did you ever figure anything out about this? It's driving me crazy. I'm checking and unchecking various boxes in the timeline setting and wondering if I'm losing my mind, but I trust muscle memory. This should be working, but it isn't working in 2018 version and it didn't work for me in 2019.12.0 version. Avid, what are you doing to us???? I'm working remote and don't have the luxury of uninstalling and re-installing software.

Re: CMD Snap to edit point, broken or ??

I've been having the same issue with MC 2019.12.

It seems that now you must choose either/or.

In timeline settings there's a check box for "Segment Drag Snap." If you check that, when you drag a clip with the red or yellow arrow, your clip will snap to edit points (just like when you would hold CMD and drag)

The problem is, it seems that you can't easily switch back and forth between snapping and not snapping, like we used to be able to do with CMD. Which is so annoying. There are times when I want to quickly snap a clip to an edit point or the blue bar, but other times when I want to place something NOT on an edit point.

I can't imagine this was done on purpose and I'm still hoping someone will tell me how to revert to the old CMD-drag ways.
