Hi,

I am unable to remove audio scrubbing on my Media Composer. No matter if cap lock is on, or not, even if I'm using a roller, it always plays the sound. I have done all the following steps as per other suggestions on the forum, but issue remains:

- Checked Cap Lock is off

- Fast Scrub is off

- Settings > General > Enable Caps Lock Protection is off

I'm unsure how to proced. I don't use audio scrubbing and it's hard to work with it. Anyone? Thanks!

can confirm. 

Its doesnt stay on for frame to frame trimming unless capsl ock or shift is engaged but when Im just dragging the timeline line thing around the audio is scrubbing with aps lock and shift disengaged. 

This has appeared a couple of times for me, and a computer restart fixed it.

I have been having a similar issue but it might be OS related. On my current laptop configuration (10.12.6 Sierra), I notice a problem with caps lock on the USB keyboard not being in sync with the caps lock on the laptop keyboard. I have tried with both a USB keyboard and a bluetooth keyboard. I think MC is getting confused as to weather caps lock is off or on.  If I remove the external keyboard and just use the laptop keyboard, the caps lock scrubbing is 'as it should be'.

We have determined that is is a MacOS bug introduced between El Capitan and Sierra. Under El Capitan 10.11.6, there are no issues, everything works as it should as it will with High Sierra and Mojave.

Im seeing this intermittantly in Mojave too. Not just a El Cap bug unfortunetly. 

I'm running High Sierra and see the same intermintant behavior with scrubbing.  Only a restart will fix it.  For me, this issus began with 2018.12.1.

This is very much an issues on Mojave.

Any kind of audio scrubbing is an issue.

Happends under the last two versions of MC 2018 and various Mojave versions.

Happened first time for me today.  Likewise, a computer restart fixed it.

Yes - this is soooooo anoying - I just went back to 8.9.3 and suddenly again the scrubbing problem

It is Mojave !!! - Please Fix this - makes me crazy

It's still a problem with avid 12.2 and Mojave 10.14.4.

Really annoying and on a restart solves the problem.

Yes - I hate it like hell - AVID 2019 is fine - But do the basics  and fix this audio scrubbing Bug under Mojave !!!!!!!

Same issue here. Using Mojave 10.14.4.

No matter the General setting on/off and CapsLock pressed or not, at some point audio scrubbing turns on forever.

SOMEONE FIX THIS - URGENT !!!!!!!

Now we have nearly JUNE - And no fix ???????
