Hey all.
I'm editing a project in MC 2018 and when sending off cuts to the composer for scoring, she's specifically requested that the .mov files have SMPTE timecodes.
Now, maybe I've just always taken it for granted that exported videos automatically have timecodes and I've double checked in QuickTime 7 that the TC corresponds with the exact TC in my timeline, which it does.
But I've never had someone make that request before, so I just want to check with the community that QuickTime exports from MC are automatically striped with SMPTE timecode?
Thanks!
Maybe she wants burned in TC?
Must think of something clever to go here...
She asked for it in addition to a BITC actually.
Sounds like (but not 100% sure) they want to make sure the timecode references the sequence for scoring purposes, and not just a frame counter. You're probably just fine with what you are doing.
