Hi CineMatica:
Nope ! I get the same thing. Doesn't work (??) It won't let me open the program (Even though when I initially installed it the installation screen opened and saw my exact same key that I used when I successfully installed 8.5 Pro, and then told me I was registered). Yet, when I click on my shortcut to open the program it wants to take me through another online registration process which fails everytime I attempt to open the program ??? Any thoughts anyone ?

The thing is don't peak too early in life.
Mark,
I believe I never seen this online registration screen coming up after the installation.
The serial will be recognized as you say, but for the rest I didn't fill in anything. I left all other boxes blank. After the installation was complete it worked like it should in my case. This way I also installed it a few days ago on my Windows 10 Pro system.
The OS on my old Mac Pro is 10.11 El Capitan. I don't know if that has something to do with it. Can you test it on another machine?
Ivan

Hi Ivan et All Editors:
Attempting the upgrade cost me two days of downtime ! My entire system went south for the Winter ! I sure want to use the final version of Squeeze Desktop 11.x on this thread, but I can't make it work for some reason, and it won't activate properly on my system. I have no idea as to why Squeeze 11.x won't activate on either Yosemity, ElCapitan, or High Sierra (??????). All was not lost however, as I have backups of my backups, so I was able to return my system to original, fully functional, prestine condition after each failure. However, having to do so took me about 3 hours each time, and the final restoration took me 8 hours due to the need to restore from an older, slower, Firewire 800 drive, running @ 400 Mb/s because I couldn't find my old FireWire square to square 800 Mb/s cable ! The moral of the story ? - If it ain't broke, then don't try to fix it !
Hi Mark,
I still keep it finding really strange, because I installed Sorenson Squeeze Desktop 11.1 Pro several times on my former Mac Pro 4.1 (early 2009) without any problems. I must admit that this was after I have done a clean install.
Do you have another Mac lying around were you can install it on as a test? Just a thought.
Yes, you are right in some way. If it ain't broke don't fix it. But then you sometimes don't know what great new features you are missing.

Mark J.
this was an oldy, but a goody.
Self-isolated in my RV in the woods, I didn't have Squeeze on my laptop.
This link still works.
Thanks muchly
Yo, let's get this done, and then go outside and play
Sebastiaan Tuerlings: It seems the downloadlinks came alive again. When Murphy's Law is calling, you can find them here (for the time being): Squeeze Pro 11 end version Mac: Squeeze_Mac_Installer.zip Squeeze Pro 11 end version Windows: SqueezeWebInstall.exe Hope this helps us all. Ciao!

Hello!
I'm having the same problem, but with the standard version, that Avid bundled in their Production Pack. The installers are no longer available for download, as their not listed in my products account anymore. Does anyone have these installers, or knows where to get them?
Thank you!
Miguel
Media Composer editor, since 1997.
Why do you want to use the standard version when you can get the final professional version?
The links below are still working. If you have ever bought a Squeeze license in the past, your serial from no matter what version will work with these final versions.
Squeeze Pro 11 end version Mac: Squeeze_Mac_Installer.zip
Squeeze Pro 11 end version Windows: SqueezeWebInstall.exe
Really? That's great! The only reason I wanted the standard version was because I thought the serial numbers were only valid with the respective. versions...But, being as you said, I'll try these installers, for I would rather use the Pro version, of course.
Thank you again.
I did manage to install Sorenson Squeeze 11 Pro, but in a strange way.The installer did not accept the serial number that I had for v11 standard, nor v10 standard. It did however, accept a serial number, from an older v8.5 version, so it's working.
The thing is… I have to install it in several systems. Hence, the need for the other serial numbers to work.
Does anyone have any ideias?
Thank you.
Are you absolutely sure you want to run Squeeze in this day and age? I found their last versions to be quite slow and clunky. I have switched to Shutter Encoder, which is donateware, fast, a swiss army knife, made for editors by editors.
You then also won't have to deal with serials for an EOL'd product.

You can install it with your valid and working serial from 8.5 on as many systems as you want. The registration server from Sorenson is down since September 1, 2018.
It was a nice gesture of Sorenson to their customers to give them the latest version for free, if you had a valid serial of course.
Great tip, CinéMatica!
I installed it again, used the same serial and... it works.
Quick note for those using the final version of Sorenson... I needed to do a few reencodings quickly, so I reached for Squeeze. Only to find out that it checks for duplicate licences on the same LAN, and shuts down. This has prompted me to finally look for alternates, once this job is done
