    Avid DVD by Sonic

I am running Media Composer 8.9.4 on Windows 10 and miss the 'one step' DVD. I have an older version of Avid DVD. The question is - can I install this without upsetting Avid MC or Windows 10? I know that I could use Sorn squeeze but this is an interim process.

You can try installing it, but it may or may not install (some users have reported installation issues). I have it running on a W10 box; the only thing it won't do is burn a physical DVD. But I have other software that does that.

To be honest though, I hardly have ever used it except for real quick-and-dirty burns. I still use DVDLab Pro 2 from MediaChance when I want to create a DVD (and an old copy of CCE Basic for the encoder; even though it's long EOL it's still the best and fastest encoder I've used).

Thanks. I used to run it ok on MC v7 and it worked fine even down to burning DVD's. In fact I have used the Avid  DVD successfully for many previous versions without problems. Perhaps I have been lucky. I will give it a try.
