Dears i need your help.

sometimes avid airspeed 5000 status is not responding , by click on airspeed 5000 and restart application in airspeed monitor its not working still not responding  and from management console browser restart Airspeed Main App nothing working !, so i need to restart the server to make the process running and will take 10 to 15 mints.

is there any way to restart the service and make sure its will be running without restart the whole server ?

system versions:

- Avid airspeed 5000 2.9.1.46160

-Avid airspeed multi stream device service 4.2.0.9

-Avid framework workstation for x64 1.7.0.29

-Avid ISIS client 4.7.6.16000

system workflow:

Airspeed mode is interplay production mode connected with ISIS 500 storage , and command news system.

I heard back from the developer:

"There was a crash / hang problem in the communications interface that was fixed in version 2.9.3.

I would recommend upgrading to 2.9.11, which should perform MUCH better.

If they still have problems, we will be happy to investigate."

Can you upgrade to a newer version?

upgrade to a newer version need avid technical support contract am i right or wrong ?

in case i can upgrade by myself , upgrading will not take any effects issues with other avid products like ( interplay server , isis storage ) , because airspeed is in interplay mode.
