I need to capture about 100+ BetaCam SP-tapes.
My capture device (Canopus TwinPact 100) is only DV25 and I think that´s not good enough for BetaCam SP.
Is there any alternative to it that work with my MC version?
Can I also use the same device to feed an HD client monitor with would it be great!I normally work with DVCPRO HD.
Look at Blackmagic and AJA products.

BMD's Intensity Pro 4k at $200 (approx) needs a SDI to HDMI convertor to give you SDI options. Or Component via supplied breakout cable. ((you would probably need 3 x BNC to RCA cables for the video side and 2 x 3 pin XLR to RCA cables for the audio.

Beta SP deck: Sony UVW-1400AP RGB.
Video output: RGB or Component Y R-Y B-Y (3xBNC), Composite video (1xBNC), S-Video (1xDIN 4-pin)
I can even think of buying used equipment if there is something to suit my needs.
(My HP Z400 is a refurbished one)
The Blackmagic Intensity Pro is cheap but has known issue where the brightness levels through component capture are not quite right. Everything else is ok. You could possibly get a used Intensity Pro or the Studio 4K.
The UVW decks aren't the best decks.
I'd looK for a digibeta deck with Beta SP playback DVW 500AP or DVW 510AP
You want SDI out not RGB component. Y R-Y B-Y component maybe but SDI much better.
The DVW decks have much better dropout correction than the older SP decks.

Another option would be to find a used Mojo (they're sill out there!), though you'd have to step back a few versions of MC to make it compatible (v5?). For that many tapes, it might be worth it.
Just throwin' it out there.
F.W.I.W. I had a similar requirement recently. I bought s used DVW500AP (you can pick one up these days for less than £100). I captured via a Matrox MXO2 mini using Y R-Y B-Y component (SDI not an option on MXO2 mini and not really necessary for the project I was working on). Remote control and timecode were via RS 422/232 lead from PC to deck. Results were perfectly acceptable for my purposes.
MXO2 minis are also obtainable reasonably cheaply and will certainly feed HD to your client monitor.

Analog Mojo? I still have mine but I haven't used it in quite a while (and it's not for sale!). I went with an ADVC110 after MC was no longer compatible with the analog Mojo. There are or were other analog capture interfaces which would accept component as well as S-video and composite. I just used my ADVC110 with MC 8.x a few days ago. It has in/out for S-video and composite for the analog portion, DV in/out for the digital section and connects to the computer via Firewire.
The analog Mojo requires a special set of cables for component use, by the way. It only has S-video and composite connectors for video.
I mention the analog Mojo because I think it was the only one that lost compatibility at MC 5.x. The other Mojo you may be thinking of, I think, was compatible into MC 6.x or maybe a bit later. The full, exact name of that model escapes me - Mojo SDI?

smyers63:Analog Mojo?
Yes. I sugggested this because this is what I used for years to digitize Beta SP from our UVW-1800, and it worked extremely well. I do think he would need ro revert to MC v5, however.

Yes, but these are still floating around as well.
I'd stick with SDI you don't want to go to analogue and back any more times than you have to.
I think the Analog version worked up to v5.5 but it might have been 5.0. I'm fairly certain the other models worked into 6.x or later which would make them more attractive if a different deck wasn't an obstacle. If the analog Mojo really was only compatible up to v5, then where would one get the installer? As I recall, that's among the versions removed from availability in the Download Center.
If component isn't needed, there are many other options which are both newer themselves and will work with much later versions of MC and are probably less expensive. I'd go with something like the ADVC110 (which I did years ago) or a similar device since it and others like it will work with any version of MC or even other software. There's nothing proprietary about it but there is with the Mojo. It's certainly a good device but very outdated and not necessarily worth having to revert to a version of MC for which there may be no installer available, not to mention the Mojo driver maybe not being compatible with the current OS versions being used. There are too many strikes against it for me to recommend it or not point out the negative aspects.

Didn't the OP say the deck already possessed was analog-only? I'm limiting the purchases to the minimum required to get the job done.
Yes, he has an analog deck.

I know.
