I want to see the audio track labels in the timeline so I know very fast what track I'm working on.It's possible with adding comments for sequences but not for subclips. It's also possible to rename the MXF-files manually, but nobody wants to do that.
I want to see the audio information from the bin in the timeline. I mean, I would like to be able to see every column from the bin in the timeline. So I could use tags that I can see in the timeline. But that's another request. Right now, it would be great to see the audio track labels.

I'd love it. I would also absolutely need for this info to travel into Pro Tools afterwards. They hate poly BWAVs because they lose per-channel metadata. But in MC, poly's can be tricky.
+1
Please! This is standard in most other NLEs and so practical!
Avid has great metadata functions otherwise, one of the reasons why I like it so much especially for bigger projects. Now if we could access and use them in the timeline too…
Please.
Thank you for laying this out so clearly. I really hope the people at Avid take notice as it's such a pain having to keep referring back to sound reports and metadata columns.
As a workaround, our AE's rename the bwavs adding the track name to them before doing our multigroups.
Yes. yes. yes!!! Pleaasssee do this. Haven't needed it until now, but... Need it more than anything at this moment.
This needs to be a feature! I've asked for it many times in the facebook group and pointed this out. Now that i know this is the official place for feature requests... yes yes yes give us this. Esepcially now that you can change mic channel in the timeline. I've made macros to manually rename the tracks on sync clips to make that drop down populated with the mic labels. It's a bit of a pain and makes it not quite worth the effort. It should just be automatic .The data is RIGHT THERE for hte taking. This would be such an easy thing to implement.
Pretty, pretty please. Maybe some option for choosing bin columns to display? Whatever way this works would be fantastic.
(Didn't know if there was a way to vote on community feature requests without commenting).
Marty: It's also possible to rename the MXF-files manually, but nobody wants to do that.

I resemble that remark!😀
