I have a timeline full of high school graduates receiving their diplomas. Under each grad I have titled his/her name. On another line I have a lower third to underscore the name. I want to place a head fade and a tail fade on each clip that is separate from the others...no dissolves. In Liquid I was able to set ain IN mark and an OUT mark at each end of such a line and apply the head fade to all then the tail fade to all. I haven't discovered the function in MC. Is there one?
Try Dip To Color from the Dissolve options. It will fade from picture to color (black if you want) back to picture again. Then apply in-out.
Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, I was unable to make it work last year and applied to each individual clip. It's that time again when I'll need to apply the same effect to about 150 edit points Dip to Color works great when I snap the curser to the next edit point and apply one at a time but I'm unable to find how I can apply the effect all at once to all the edit points between the in and out markers. I've tried right-clicking the "dip to color" icon, have looked for other ways, but have not had any luck. Is it possible to apply the effect to all within the in/out marks?

*edit* I just realized the OP waited nearly a year to reply to Job's response :D
Forum etiquette rule #1: FILL OUT SYSTEM SPECS IN PROFILE! :)
Time flies. Thx. I hadn't had a need for the procedure again until now. :-)
Eureka!!!! I see I have to apply the effect to one before I can open the dialogue box. It works!! This year will be much easier. Thanks.
Thanks, again, for your input, Sir, and sorry for being a "forum dummy". I have added my full specs.
Thank you, Job, for your advice. Sorry I didn't reply earlier.
