I am trying to pan 12 of my 13 mono audio tracks to the left, and my 13th track to the right.
In the Audio Mixer tool, I have 12 of my tracks highlighted, in and out set to cover the entire sequence, I click the hamburger menu and select "adjust pan/vols on track in/out", I type in -200 or whatever number I want and it does not apply the pan to the track or any clip within the track.
My goal is to pan all dialogue, music and effects to the left and the voice over trackto the right, Is there another way to do this?
Thanks
Hi,
cridips: I click the hamburger menu and select "adjust pan/vols on track in/out", I type in -200 or whatever number I want and it does not apply the pan to the track or any clip within the track.
You have to do these steps in reverse order. First, set the pan on any clip in a track to whatever you want it to be, then go to the hamburger menu and set the pan on the track in/out, and the pan adjustment you made to the first clip will be made to all the rest.

I realize this is an old post but I am on MC 8.6.5 and I cannot figure out how to make an exsiting track with mulitple mono clips in it and set the pan globally on that track.
I tried setting the pan on one clip and then selecting the hamburger menu and trying Adjut Pan/Volume on track in/out. I've really tried everything I could think. The Avid MC documentations methods don't work either.
Is this really possible? Thanks.

I only had the Audio track I was working on selected. Set Mark at start of clip 2 and Mark out end of clip17 (out of 65). Stepped through the clips 2 to 17 panned each one differently. Returned to clip 2. Used Set Pan onTrack In/Out to L6. Stepped through clips 2 to 18. 2 to 17 showed L6. 18 showed Mid.
Have you tried a new project?New User setting?
Edit add Also just noticed in my Timeline Audio Data hamburger settings I have got "Allow Per Track Settings" checked
Borrowing the mixer pict from another thread!
You have to gang the relevant tracks by clicking on the icon top left of the respective faders for this to work, it's the only one NOT greyed out in the picture. Once the gang is enabled the icon will turn blue (or whatever), the faders and pans will be tied together, and setting an in to out level and/or pan will work.

You don't have to gang anything to get apply pan in to out to work?
You must set an in and out that encompasses the whole of the clips you want to change, you must be park the CTI over the clip or clips with the setting you want and you have to have the audio track or tracks selected on the timeline. Then apply vols or pan in to out should work. Alternatively if you want to do the entire sequence, simply clear ins and outs and use the global apply. Same pre-requisites as before.

Can we go back to the way audio nodes used to be selected? Please? ie if you have audio nodes at the same time on selected tracks; then selecting 1 audio node selects them all at that time. Having to shift select nodes or add an in and out is time consuming and counter productive. At least make it an option.
No need to gang. No need to set in or out (if there are no marks, you can "set pan global").
Sorry guys: You have to gang to apply the same pan/level changes to multiple tracks at once by using the audio mixer knobs and sliders; once happy with the changes on a given clip You can apply in to out, or to the entire sequence, by using the hamburger menu commands.
Ah, of course, if you want all those tracks to have the same panning. Not needed for the subsequent apply in/out or global.

My apologies, I stopped by the OP and did not realize that this was almost two years old.
