Hello All,
I am trying to import MXF JPEG 2000 clips in my MC 8.3.1 ,and did try with AMA link too, but with no success for now.
When looking to the media with Get Info, it reports an "unsupported video format/codec".
I did try this with MXF Op-1a as well as MXF Op-Atom, but that's the same.
Did anyone already try such import ? Because, if I am right, MC should support JPEG 2000 since version 6.5?
Thanks, Arnaud.
I have got the same problem. I use MC 8.4.2.
So at all the Avid-Folk, how can we link or import MXF OP1a JPEG2000? JPEG 2000 is an industry standard for uncompressed video, so come on, offer a workflow for it, please!

I don't think it is correct to say that JPEG_2000 is uncompressed. It can use a lossless compression, but that is different in some ways. An uncompressed codec should be very easy on a system (other than it's data rate) as there is no decompressing and recompressing to be handled by either the CPU or GPU. JPEG_2000, being compressed, asks a bit of the system it being used on. Just sayin .....
