I'm getting the attached debugger message when trying to import audio into Avid. It happens with both wave and aiff files. 48/24 in both cases. I was using 8.3 but upgraded to 8.3.1 to see if it got fixed. Running version 10.4 of BMD desktop. not sure if it's related to that or not.

Anone else having this issue?
Still an issue. I ended up importing the audio in 7.0.4 and brought the bins into the 8.3.1 project. synced some clips and then tried to slip perf and this is what I got:
This makes 8.3 pretty much unusable for me.
Ok. Still busted in 8.4. This means that MC is unuasable on my system, and when I say unusable, I mean that other than starting it up, I can't do anythng that resembles feature film or television workflow.
Anyone else with this issue?
No, not seen this. Can you post an example file for me to try?
I also ran into this problem over the last couple of days. It started when I upgraded my MBP Retina from 8.3.1 to 8.4. At first everything was fine, but after a few hours, I started getting the warning every time I tried to import or transcode a clip. Thinking that the issue might be with my MBP, I installed 8.4 onto my late 2013 Mac Pro only to find that I was getting the warning right away.
I completely uninstalled MC off of both machines - first using the supplied uninstaller and then using the app Easyfind (free from app store) to search and delete all things Avid. I then reinstalled 8.3.1 to see if I would still get the same warning. 8.3.1 worked flawlessly for me. Feeling lucky, I then used the Avid Application Manager to upgrade everything to 8.4. It's been 24 hrs and 8.4 has worked perfectly. With that said, other than the complete uninstall/reinstall, I have no idea what fixed the issue. If Avid support can weigh in on the issue, that'd be great.
FYI, I'm using a 2014 MBP Retina and 2013 MP both running latest versions of Yosemite 10.10.3. Clips that I was trying to import/link/transcode are Blackmagic 4K ProRes LT MOV files.
With a little bit of effort, I was able to reproduce the problem. It seems (for me anyways) that when a new project is created at above HD resolutions (2K, 4K, UHD) at 23.976 checking the box Film 35mm, 4perf, the error message happens upon import, consolidating, or transcoding. I created several other projects with different combinations of formats, resolutions, frame rates, Film box checked/unchecked and all worked fine with no error messages. Interestingly enough, when I created a new project at 1080p 23.976 Film 35mm, 4 perf and then changed the resolution to 2K, 4K, UHD in the Format tab inside the project, again, everything worked fine with no error messages. Go figure...
Again, this is only happening to me with 8.4 - did not have the problem with 8.3.1.
Same results here, thanks for the testing.
Seems like a pretty nasty bug for 24p workflows when you want the ability to slip perfs to tweak the audio.
exactly the same issue here. 8.4.xx, 2K, 24p, Film and no import possible. it happens also with ale-files.
