MC v6 used to output timecode just fine. Now I'm running MC v8.2 with the latest AJA drivers (10.6) and no longer have timecode embedded in the HD-SDI output from my Kona LHi card. It used to work (with v6) but now it's gone!
I've gone through and looked at almost every setting in both MC and AJA Control Panel but nothing works or applies.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
thanks

It must be an Avid MC setting/issue. My 5-year old version of Final Cut Pro 7 outputs VITC just fine through the LHi.
Below is my Rube-Goldberg workaround to error correct my Media Composer projects with a Black Magic Ultrascope:
If anyone has a better workaround, please share as I hate what I have to do to simply error check. FYI I just filled out a feature request to add timecode out via HD-SDI. If you are so moved please head over there and throw in a few "amens": http://community.avid.com/forums/p/130877/747545.aspx#747545
Thanks
Just got off the phone w AJA tech support. It is indeed an Avid issue. There should be RP188 timecode embedded in the HD-SDI. But alas there isn't. If FCP and Premiere can do this, why can't Avid?
The workaround to error check is to bring quicktime file into AJA VTR exchange, which will pass along the proper timecode.
Did they not mean AJA Control Room? VTR Exchange is an older product as I understand.

Yes- Control Room is more recent. I just opened the clip in both AJA VTR Xchange and Control Room. Both accurately piped out the right timecode (yay). Avid please add this back into MC!
I'm stuck with the same issue. No TC out from the AJA Kona L-Hi. It could be usefull for me to send it as it can be showed on the monitors in remote control rooms.
