    Looks really interesting.

Here are a couple of long detailed looks at new features including the new editing, trimming, motion effects etc

BMD is certainly pushing the evelope and taking the industry with them.

I installed it. It crashed. I uninstalled it.

Did you update the Black Magic Desktop video driver?

Updated Mac OS to 10.8.4, updated the Desktop video and Installed 10 here. It worked for about 2 hours.. Wont be uninstalling it Big Smile  It has improved a lot of things that I found niggling in 9  (MC 7.0.2 still working on the same Mac with half an hours testing after the OS update and 10 install)

I've been having to use an old DV driver due to Windows 7 crashes. It might be sorted out by now, but I don't want to mess around with it... just don't have the time.

But thanks for the heads up. And I will certainly try to get it working in the future.

very interesting indeed.  Wonder if they will keep adding editorial functions?  Why would they stop?

A battle line for the future seems to have been drawn.

On one side is Adobe CC with Premiere Pro, After Effects and SpeedGrade. The other is Resolve with improved editing functionality and OFX plugins.

so where does Avid MC and Apple FCPX fit in your battle theory?

IMHO, Avid will remain entrenched in shared storage and broadcast. FCPX will continue to win back some of the FCP Pro users and appeal to Apple-philes.
