I ripped a DVD using Cinematize Pro and I imported it into Media Composer 6.5. I dropped it into my timeline and began adding edits at all the original edit points. For example, every time the original editor made an edit, I duplicated that edit in my timeline.I ended up with probably about 50 edits, each are marked with a white dot.Is there a way that I can turn each of the 50 clips into it's own .mov file?I would like each clip to appear in the bin as a thumbnail so that I can easily select clips for my re-edit.I am able to lift the clips and re-position them in the timeline, but it would be much easier if I could get them in the bin as thumbnails.I'm teaching myself how to edit and this is for a learnnig exercise.Any advice would be most helpful.
Thanks!
You could mark each of the clips and export as a .mov file then reimport them into MC. That would be one way, I am sure that others will step in here and suggest others.
Denny
Select each clip and alt-drag it into a bin. This creates sub clips that you can edit into another sequence.
WWLD?
Thank you Denny, this works great!
Is there a way to do a batch export so that I don't have to do this for each individual clip?
Thank you Brickwad, I'm new to Avid I'm not sure how to drag a clip into a bin.
When I click on the clip, and alt drag, I see a rectangular lasso and pink marks are placed in the first and last selected clips.I tried marking the clips first, but I wasn't able to alt drag to the bin that way either.
I'm just getting started with Avid, and I'm still trying to learn the basics.
