I get a message that says I must install an Avid editing application before I can install these applications. And yet, I have already installed MC 7 w/ Symphony option, and it's up and running.
Has anyone encountered this problem? If so, any solutions to offer?
Many thanks!

Still need the help. Anyone ever experience this? I understand that these apps are supposed to work with MC 7.
Thanks!

Actually, I think that ScriptSync and PhraseFind are part of the full installer since v6.0, and you would just need to activate them in Avid License Control. But this is from memory, let me check.
Yes that is correct - they activate/deactivate from within the ALC as options.
Job is spot on - good memory

Thanks, Marianna and Job. I still have a problem, however. I did NOT receiver any activation codes for ScriptSync and PhraseFind in the email about the MC 7 upgrade. The codes that are in myaccount on Avid.com are too long to fit in the activation fields in the ALC.
Is there something I'm missing here?
ScriptSync and Phrasefind for use with 5.5 and earlier are 25 digit codes whereas those for use with 6 and higher including 7 are 16 digit. If you were on 5.5 - you should NOT have deactivatd the options and then when you installed and activated 6.x the activations would have ported over.
Send me the serial #'s you are attempting to use which are too long.

Hi, Marianna,
Email on the way with old codes. I don't have any recollection of deactivating these options when upgrading to version 6, but may have done so inadvertently. Just don't remember anything about that.
Thanks for your help!
You may or may not have deactivated. In my experience, the auto-generation of PhF and SS license codes simply doesn't always work. But MM will sort you out.
You have mail :)
Hi, Marianna! Thanks for getting me up and running with ScriptSync and PhraseFind. You're always there for us, and I really, really do appreciate what you've done for me today, and what you do for all of us, all the time. You are the face of Avid as far as I'm concerned, and I look forward to the day when I might even meet you in person. You're the best!
Thanks Jeff! :)
I'm having a simlar problem.
ScriptSync trial expired and I can't figure out how to buy the new license. Tried ALC but don't have an activation ID to input.
The Avid store only has ScriptSync for versions prior to MC7. I'm running MC7.0.2
Please help.
Thank you.
Scriptsync comes in 2 versions. Pre 6 and post 6
Pre 6 uses a 25 digit serial # to activate whereas post 6 ( 6, 6.5, 7.x ) uses a 16 digit activation ID.
You cna buy the one on the store and select for MC 7.. and that is the one you need.
