    Simple yes/no question

Does anyone know if Media Composer 5 is compatible with Windows 7 Enterprise?  I don't want to know if it will run, I want to know if it will run perfectly with no issues.

    Thanks

    Re: Simple yes/no question

It's not qualified, so no one can tell you yes with that level of certainty.

It's not qualified, but that doesn't necessarily mean it won't work. What it means is if it doesn't work, or does initially but later on fails, you will not be able to get tech support from Avid.

Tim, I can't speak for Enterprise, but I can say that it works flawlessly on Ultimate.  With Larry's caveat in mind, I would imagine that Enterprise would at least be worth trying.  Can you set up a test system running Enterprise and do a trial install of MC?  That would give you a definitive answer.

    MC 7.0.4 - Asus P6T Deluxe V2 mobo - Intel i7 920 2.66GHz - Windows 7 Ult64 SP1 - nVidia Quadro FX 1800 - 16 Gbyte low latency DDR3 RAM - Internal 8 Tb... [view my complete system specs]

Guys I'm afraid you failed to read the subject of this thread.

We've read the subject of the thread. It is not a simple yes/no question.

It is not a simple yes/no question.
If the thread requires a yes or no answer then IMO the only correct answer is NO.

And NO probably does a disservice to the original poster who could probably use that OS without a problem as indicated by the posts above.

What you needed was a little winking emoticon so people would know it was a joke.  Without it (or something to indicate you were joking), it read like you were scolding people who were trying to give a simple answer to a complicated question.

Was actually more of a test to see if you'd turn up out of know where.

This HAS to be a tough crowd.  Remember, after the writers, directors, producers, talent, network, sponsors, etc. do their jobs, it's ultimately our responsibility to say, "that's not funny,"
