I've problems with 6.5.2 mxf ama plugin too. Avid says, theres no need to install seperatly the mxf ama plugin for 6.5.2. i think thats why u cant install ama mxf plugin 1.7. because there should be a working ama mxf plugin installed. AMA_listplugins shows me msp_mxf plugin 1.8., linking is ok but MC crashes when i hit play or wanna consolidate an working op1a mxf file. generated with interplay transfer manager and ama linking with 6.0 & mxf plugin 1.6 ok.

For that I just copied the MXF plugin direct from the AMA plugin directory from a V6.0 machine and it worked fine.

Pat, i've found AVX2_PlugIns/AMA Folder but when i copy the AMA_MXF Folder from 6.0 to the 6.5.2 avid seems to be repair itself at the program start an reinstall ama_mxf 1.8.

I'm new Avid MC 6.5.2 user (crossgrade from FCP) and I need to install AMA Plug-ins on my comp. And the download page still doesn't work. Do you have some news? Or some other possibility how to get them, because tomorrow I will really need them?

Hello all.  I too have had this issue when AMAing OP1A MXF files.  I did as someone suggested and copied a 6.5.1 plugin from the Application Support/Avid/AVX2_Plugins/AMA folder.  It worked well on my Mac.  I'm looking for the PC version now for my other rooms.

I'd like to resurrect this thread. 

I am still having trouble with this, after having tried all the previous suggestions. I am working on Avid 7.0.2 now, and the only way i can get the pan and zoom to work is by downloading the image straight to my hard drive, not contained in any folder. This is fine, but i'm going to have a lot of images which I want to order!

The black is killing me. Anybody else experiencing this with Avid 7?
